Graeme Bowman

The Celebrant Storyteller

The expertise I bring to each ceremony draws from my three decades in the event, entertainment and corporate communications industries. I love playing with themes and concepts, looking for quirky angles, creating Ah-hah! moments for audiences, and bringing out the best in other speakers.

Having spent my whole life in Melbourne and regional Victoria, I am very familiar with every aspect of our state, from its sports and cultural activities through to its industries and natural attractions. Also, my extended family has lived and worked across the state for generations. As such, I have been able to relate particularly well to other local families whose loved one also made this part of Australia home.

To learn more about the approach we’ll use to craft a funeral ceremony, visit my website and watch the clip called ‘How to Tell Your Loved One’s Story’.

The Humanist Society is part of a national and international movement which helps people lead ethical and fulfilled lives free from religion.

We meet and work on stolen lands of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect their sovereignty of those lands which was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
